The roots of the historic residence date back to the eighteenth century; it was renovated in neoclassical style in 1837 by the local poet Lorenzo Costa who, inspired by the peacefulness and the stunning landscape that can still be enjoyed from the marble porch, chose the Castagnarossa hill to build his summer residence. With his noble origins, Lorenzo Costa retired to his villa to lead a bucolic life, write literary works and enjoy the majestic nature that surrounded the hill.
After more than half a century of neglect, the great restoration project for Palazzo Costa began in 1992.
Palazzo Costa today - pictorial facade decorations, vaulted ceiling, stone and marble flooring, friezes and capitals adorning every corner of the building.
Palazzo Costa combines the charm of the past with all the comfort of the modern, a luxurious and elegant environment for lovers of nature and tranquility. The heart of the residence is dominated by a majestic marble staircase that extends over five floors and leads to the 16 apartments of the structure, also reachable by an internal lift. The veranda with loggia on the second floor is embellished with grandiose monolithic columns of white marble and extends in the shade of a three hundred years old Lebanese cedar, a suggestive and secluded space from which you can enjoy the majestic panorama. The large garden of the house, finally, is presented to its guests as a true oasis of peace.
